It’s true. You can use YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms for free, and free fits every budget perfectly.
Using social media – including YouTube and Facebook – is perfectly acceptable for your public content, content you don’t mind being data-mined, and content that you actually want to get lots of clicks, shares, views, and comments.
You paid for it, but do you own it?
You pay as much or more for the purchase of digital files as for the LPs and CDs, VHS and DVDs, and print books, but do you own them?
The short answer is no, not really.
The longer answer is that “what you really got when you clicked ‘buy’ is often merely a license to access the content.” The power of “fine print” comes into play here. There you will find “the terms of service – terms that the seller can usually change at will.”1
Lurking Piles: Banishing Your To-Do List

Fast forward a bit – now, with a mattress and navy and gold bedding, my daisy blanket is always folded across the foot of my bed.
